Tony MALLETT

Tony is unable to attend as he is on holiday in the south of France on his boat.

Peter MILES

Peter is serving - until Jan 04. Works near Bill Alexander at High Wycombe (which must be nice! Ed)

Paul MINDNER

At 1900 UTC on 8 June, Paul will raise a glass of Flugbereibschafts-Sekt and shout "Cheeeriooo 46 first today" after engine shutdown (if the plan goes to time) probably much to the bewilderment of his crew. Paul has joined the increasing number of 46 grandfathers ( Lucy has had a son)

Kenneth NICHOLS

Kenneth phoned in to wish us all well.

Dave OCTON

Dave is now a consultant and hopes to join us at the reunion next year.

Dave ORRINGE

Dave took early retirement from CAA in September 2001. Now freelance consultant specializing in safety management systems.

Bob PETERS

Bob would have come but has gone to Canada for his son's wedding. He is now fully retired .

Laurie POULTER

Laurie would have come but the date clashes with his wife's reunion; no prizes for guessing who won!

Robbie ROBERTSON

Robbie was the CO of the Squadron in Idku during the War. He sent some marvelous photographs which will be inserted in the history books.

Les ROCKEL

Les retired from Monarch Airlines in April 2002 and is thinking about moving back to New Zealand.

Des SKINNER

Des sent his usual comprehensive update on life in the Colonies. Followers of world class Lawn Bowls will not need reminding of Des' success this year ! Success enabled by his retirement after many years down the coal mines. He's got a great e mail address: theblackduck@bigpond.com

Paul SNOOK

Paul is unable to attend as he is on holiday in North Yorkshire.

Rusty STEELE-MORGAN

Rusty is unable to attend as he will be in Normandy for a D-Day presentation of one of his paintings to a museum near the beaches.

Tony STEPHENS

Tony is still with the Air Historical Branch now at Bentley Priory.

Roger UNWIN

Roger now has his own villa in the lovely hill village north of Episkopi Garrison. Anyone in the area most welcome for tea or coffee (brandy sours and Keo beer better though) so just give a ring if on island.

Bert WEBSTER

We missed Bert's unique contribution to the Reunion because "the MOT on the undercarriage ran out". He sent a generous donation with which to remember the Beaufighter chaps.

Russell WILLIAMS

Russ is vice-president of the old Cranwellian Association and also Civilian Chairman of No.1260 Sqn (Newark & District) ATC.

Keith WILSON

Keith has retired (again!) on 30th April 2002. This time it is the CAA who will wonder how they are going to cope without him!

Mike TOM

Mike went on holiday to Malta and visited the Aviation Museum were a 46 squadron Spitfire is being restored

John DUCKERS

John has written a fascinating article on his experiences, most of which were with 46 in Idku. The article is on the website – see the bottom of the side margin on history pages 40-42, 42-44 and 44-46

Dennis HAMMOND

We received a letter from Dennis' son informing us that his father died on 9 Feb. Dennis was a pilot on the Squadron at Idku, winning a DFC for operations over Greece. He features in many of the photographs in the Squadron history of that era. Dennis' son enclosed a very generous donation and asked only that we raise a glass to "one of yours who will never be forgotten"

Dougie BARR

Dougie is now working for the Court Service as their Modernisation Delivery Director.

Keith CHAPMAN

Keith has been working on a temporary basis for the UN helping to coordinate humanitarian airlift operations in Afghanistan.
