We missed Bert's unique contribution to the Reunion because "the MOT on the undercarriage ran out". He sent a generous donation with which to remember the Beaufighter chaps. |

John has written a fascinating article on his experiences, most of which were with 46 in Idku. The article is on the website – see the bottom of the side margin on history pages 40-42, 42-44 and 44-46 |
Dennis HAMMOND |
We received a letter from Dennis' son informing us that his father died on 9 Feb. Dennis was a pilot on the Squadron at Idku, winning a DFC for operations over Greece. He features in many of the photographs in the Squadron history of that era. Dennis' son enclosed a very generous donation and asked only that we raise a glass to "one of yours who will never be forgotten" |
